What is PST?

A PST file is also called a personal storage file and contains your profile ("Superfolder" for inbox, outbox, tasks, contacts and several other folders).

The name of a PST file always ends on ".pst" (hence its name). Since Windows normally hides this suffix, this will not help you find these files. However, you can recognize the file in the Windows explorer by its file type "Office Data File."
