Problem: The synchronization does not start automatically.

This problem has three possible areas:

1. The timer-based synchronization (not a service!) does not work:

Please note that Easy2Sync for Outlook must be running and the timer must be active. In addition, you can use the logfile (F9 in the main window) to see if the program tried to start the synchronization and if an error was reported. To check the network connections, you should start the task manually once.

2. The service does not work:

First, please check all entries in the “checklist” in the service menu. Then check the logfile (F9 in the main window) to see if the service tried to start the synchronization and if an error was reported.

The most common error cause is that services run under Windows under a different user (who normally has the username “Service”) and that your network shares do not give this user any rights.

3. The synchronization when booting/shutting down the PC does not work:

Please note that this function is not available for services. Easy2Sync for Outlook must be running while Windows is being shut down.
