But I like my Lifebook and changed the hard disk today and had a hard time finding a how-to for this. Fujitsu-Siemens doesn&#8217;t bother to tell you.<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s how to.<\/p>\n<p>Before you start:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a backup<\/li>\n<li>Get some non-magnetized screwdrivers<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t blame me if something goes wrong. This goes without any warrenties. \ud83d\ude09<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step1:<\/strong> Remove the battery and press the power button for a few seconds to remove any remaining energy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step2:<\/strong> Turn the Laptop around and remove the 3 screws at the front.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itsth.com\/img\/blog\/Exchanging-Lifebook-P7010-Harddisk-01.JPG\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Lifebook P7010 Harddisk\" width=\"550\" height=\"386\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step3:<\/strong>Turn the notebook around again and carefully pry open the wrist-rest. Don&#8217;t pull it away too strong, the touch-pad is still connected with some cables!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itsth.com\/img\/blog\/Exchanging-Lifebook-P7010-Harddisk-02.JPG\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Fujisu P7010 open\" width=\"550\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step4:<\/strong> You can see the harddisk at the front right. It&#8217;s only held by the ATA cable. Carefully pull it out and exchange the disk. Don&#8217;t damage the HD pins, or you won&#8217;t be able to revert back in case of problems.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itsth.com\/img\/blog\/Exchanging-Lifebook-P7010-Harddisk-03.JPG\" border=\"0\" alt=\"P7010 hard disk\" width=\"550\" height=\"376\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it. Oh by the way: Both <a title=\"Easy2Sync for Files\" href=\"http:\/\/www.easy2sync.com\/en\/produkte\/easy2sync.php\">Easy2Sync for Files<\/a> and <a title=\"Easy2Sync for Outlook\" href=\"http:\/\/www.easy2sync.com\/en\/produkte\/e2s4o.php\">Easy2Sync for Outlook<\/a> have &#8220;Copy&#8221; modes that can be used for a backup.
